Safety and health issues are of paramount importance at PNSB. We are committed to providing a safe and environmentally friendly workplace, and to ensure that all employees are informed, instructed, trained and supervised in safety measures at the workplace.

The Corporate Safety & Health Committee, which was set up in 2004, continues to play a prominent role in developing policies and enduring that these policies, approved by the Management, are adhered to. All programmes and activities pertaining to safety and health were developed and monitored by the Committee.

The Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Committed were appointed by the Board of Directors and our Corporate Safety & Health Officer is the Secretary.

  Achievement for the Occupational Safety And Health at Workplace
       
 

Occupational safety and health (OSH) at workplace has been highly emphasized by the Company. Besides the internal control of OSH procedure, rules and regulations, the Company has participated in several competitions either organized by the Government Organisation or Non-Government Organisation (NGO) in order to measure the effectiveness of OSH at workplace and prompt for corrective measures should there be any shortcoming from the series of audits.

To date the Company through it WTPs have won several competition in relation to OSH as the following: –

National Award in Occupational Safety and Health Competition organized by National Council for Occupational Safety and Health (NCOSH), Ministry of Human Resources.
 
(i)
2006 National Award Competition. SSP2 WTP has Gold Trophy under Water Utility Sector.
   
(ii)
2007 National Award Competition. Wanga Maju WTP won Gold Trophy under Water Utility Sector.
   
2. Annual Competition in Occupational Safety and Health organized by Malaysian Society for Occupational Safety and Health (MSOSH).

(iii) 2001 – SSP2 WTP won Grand Award and Wangsa Maju WTP won Gold Award
