Certifications

In line with the Company’s vision “To Be The Leading And Dynamic Integrated Water Services Company”, the Company has embarked systematic approach to work which is internationally recognized.

Currently, we have been certified with the following management system: –

i.	Quality Management System (QMS) – ISO 9001:2000
ii.	Environmental Management System (EMS) – ISO 14001:2004
iii.	Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) - OSHAS 18001:2007
iv.	Malaysia Laboratory Accreditation System (SAMM) MS ISO/IEC 17025:2005

ISO

There are twenty (19) workplaces that have been certified with Quality Management System ISO 9001:2000 accreditation.

Five (5) scopes of audit have been established and the respective workplaces are annexed to their respective scope as the following: –

i.	“Operation and maintenance of water treatment plant and production of potable water for northern region”

ii.	“Operation and maintenance of water treatment plant and production of potable water for central region”

iii.	“Operation and maintenance of water treatment plant and production of potable water for south region”

iv.	“Operation and maintenance of Wangsa Maju WTP and the production of potable water”
	Llyod’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) under UKAS Accreditation Mark has issued the certifications of the above.

MS IEC 17025


	SAMM under Department of Standard Malaysia (DSM) has accredited Sungai Selangor Phase II WTP with MS ISO/IEC 17025:2005. With this certification, the laboratory of SSP2 WTP’s has been recognized in conducting chemical and microbiology testing.

IMS

Integrated Management System (IMS) is a combination of three (3) management system namely Quality Management System ISO 9001:2000, Environmental Management System ISO 14001:2004 and Occupational Health and Safety Management System 18001:2007.

(i) SSP2 WTP is the first water treatment plant in Malaysia that has been certified with IMS. LRQA under UKAS Accreditation Mark has issued all the certifications of the above.

(ii) As a G7 contractor registered to Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), the Company need to comply with the requirements imposed i.e. to be certified by ISO 9001:2000 before year 2009. However, the Company via Operation II Division has decided to be certified with IMS under the certification scope of “Provision of Construction Services for Building, Engineering Works, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Works specializing in water related infrastructure”.

The Company has achieved the ISO 9001:2000 and the certification audit of ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 has been scheduled within November and December. URS Certification (M) Sdn Bhd under UKAS Accreditation Mark will issue the certification of this IMS.
