A briefing on “Privatization and Public Private Partnership in the Tenth Malaysia Plan” was held at Wisma Rozali yesterday, 29 November 2010. The Speaker who was also the Guest of Honour was Y.Bhg. Dato’ Zohari Hj. Akob, Deputy Director General, from the Public Private Partnership Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department.
Y.Bhg. Dato’ Hashim Mahfar, several senior management of Puncak Niaga, and representatives from Puncak Niaga’s subsidiary companies were also present during the briefing.
The briefing was organised by the Strategic Research Centre (SRC) to update and to provide in- depth information to the management of Puncak Niaga and to the staff in general on the current issues and policies implemented by the government, as the policies are very much related to Puncak Niaga either directly or indirectly. The briefing also serves as a platform to inform Puncak Niaga on recent programmes and activities held by the Public Private Partnership Unit, who are in charge of privatization in Malaysia.
Tremendous response from the floor during the Q&A session shows that this briefing was a success in capturing the attention of the audience.
Y.Bhg. Dato’ Zohari Hj. Akob was presented with a token of appreciation by Y.Bhg. Dato’ Hashim Mahfar at the end of the programme.
