PNSB, under the guidance of its Executive Chairman, YBhg. Tan Sri Rozali Ismail, had taken the initiative to establish the River Rescue Brigade, better known as 'Kelab Briged Penyelamat Sungai Puncak Niaga, Selangor' (BPS) on 14th March 1998.

Since its initiation, BPS has upheld its role in educating the public, especially the younger generation on the importance of conserving and protecting the environment, particularly the river. BPS programmes are more targeted to children as they are seen as agents in developing a more environmentally friendly society for the next generation and beyond.
