SHAH ALAM: Puncak Niaga Holdings Bhd and the Water Association of Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya will be sending 10,000 bottles of drinking water to earthquake victims in Padang.
The bottles of water, each weighing 5kg, will be sent as soon as possible with the help of the Malaysia Safety Council, said Puncak Niaga executive chairman Tan Sri Rozali Ismail.
“The victims there need clean water,” he told reporters yesterday.
He said the initial aid of water to Indonesia was from the company’s emergency stock of 20,000 bottles, prepared for emergency situations in Malaysia.
Rozali added that Puncak Niaga was also ready to send water experts and engineers to provide assistance in fixing the supply system in Padang.
