In 1998 water crisis, PNSB was also awarded
by the Federal Government to develop the
Wangsa Maju WTP (45 MLD) on a turnkey basis.
The project was successfully completed within
a record period of six (6) months on a ‘fast-track’
basis in order to resolve water shortage
problem in Wangsa Maju and AU3/Hulu Kelang
areas.
Located at Wangsa Maju,
this WTP with a design capacity of 45
MLD obtains raw water for treatment from
the Klang Gates Dam and Sungai Gombak.
The treated water is pumped from the WTP
to Wangsa Maju Reservoir and the AU3 Reservoir
for distribution.
PNSB
has been operating and managing the WTP
since its completion in July 1998.

| FUTURE
PROJECTS |
| Water
demand has a direct correlation with the
economic and population growth of the country
due to its nature as a basic necessity.
The
Klang Valley still remains one of the
key economic areas in the country. Although
the population growth in Kuala Lumpur
will slow down as the area stablises and
becomes fully developed, the regional
growth continues at an increasing rate
due to the rapid development along the
Klang Valley and the new areas of Sepang
and Putra Jaya.
The
Company will continue to expand and consolidate
existing markets while aggressively pursuing
new markets. To ensure even greater growth
and profitability, we are forging new
partnerships and strategic alliances within
the industry which will create stronger
synergies, reduce costs, and improve performance
and profitability. We will continue to
concentrate on our core business in the
water supply industry, which comprises
construction and operation of water treatment
plant and water distribution system, while
at the same time developing downstream
and related business activities.
